Senior Staff Engineer
Panasonic R&D Center Singapore,
Panasonic Asia-Pacific, Singapore.

I am a dedicated engineering professional with over 10 years of experience in robotics, 3D computer vision, and AI, specializing in innovative solutions that drive efficiency and automation. My expertise includes developing real-time, highly realistic 3D reconstruction pipelines for indoor environments using technologies like Structure from Motion, Multi-View Stereo, Gaussian Splatting, and NeRF. I have also integrated AI techniques such as semantic segmentation and image intrinsic decomposition for advanced 3D scene relighting, and I am currently enhancing multimodal scene understanding through meta features in 3D Gaussian Splatting.

In robotics, I have significantly improved visual localization and mapping performance through proprietary feature-based V-SLAM software. My work spans autonomous vehicles, delivery robots, and wheelchairs, utilizing novel algorithms and sensor fusion techniques with fisheye and pinhole cameras, LiDAR, and IMUs. Notably, I led the migration of the HOSPI delivery robot from ROS1 to ROS2 and developed ROS2-based adapters for the Robotics Middleware Framework (RMF). I also spearheaded the development of autonomous mobile robots for construction environments, contributing to commercial facade inspection services showcased at the ISARC conference.

As a proven leader, I have managed cross-functional teams in dynamic startup settings, guiding projects from design and procurement to deployment and testing. At Aitech Robotics and Automation, I served as Project Manager and Tech Lead, developing navigation algorithms for autonomous mobile robots and implementing vision- and LiDAR-based systems for precise operations. I introduced Scrum methodologies to enhance workflow and collaboration, and developed APIs to ensure seamless communication between robots and workflow management systems. My hands-on approach fosters strong collaboration across engineering, IT, and operations, ensuring timely project delivery and exceptional performance.

I am passionate about leveraging technology to create impactful solutions that advance the fields of AI and robotics. I look forward to contributing my skills and experience to drive innovation in this space.
